Our next chosen local artist is Petrina Kent, a wonderfully talented artist who finds delight in painting the Manx landscape and sharing its beauty. She was born in Essex, studied at the prestigious Bath Academy of Art gaining a Fine Art Degree (hons.) 1978 and moved to the Isle of Man in 1982 where she has taught Art and since worked as a professional fine artist, displaying her impressive work in many exhibits. She has vast experience and paints with determination and passion using subtleties of colour and a prolonged working process.
We chose a beautiful piece from Petrina’s collection called ‘Vibrancy’ that does what it says in the title by adding joy and vibrancy to the room. Here’s a few photos of her painting displayed in the staff breakout area where it compliments the office perfectly along with the rest of the chosen artwork.
For more information on Petrina Kent’s work, please visit her website www.petrinakent.com
