Macmillan Coffee Morning at 55 Athol Street
Fridays are for COFFEE & CAKE. We held a coffee morning last week at 55 Athol Street where all the tenants got involved in baking, buying, eating, donating and mingling....
Over 100 households supported by the IOM Foodbank across the island were gifted vouchers, with the hope of bringing some relief this Christmas season.
The IOM Foodbank is dedicated to more than just providing food; they offer a comprehensive approach to crisis support. Their focus is on giving individuals a "hand up, not a handout," helping those in need move towards independence. By offering a chance to pause and regroup, they provide the resources necessary for individuals to regain control and move forward.
It has been a pleasure to work alongside the IOM Foodbank team and gain insight into their behind-the-scenes efforts to assist those in need. The main hub is a hive of activity, and it’s heartening to see the generosity of food donations. However, the Foodbank is always looking for more volunteers and support to continue their essential work.
